Practioner, Peggy Schubert, L.Ac.

Long recognized by those around her as a woman with a healing touch, Peggy has explored various modes of healing including Therapeutic Touch, Polarity, Reiki, and Shiatsu.  When she discovered Traditional Chinese Medicine, she knew she had found an effective modality that coincides with her intuitive sense of a person's innate wholeness. She undertook a rigorous 5-year graduate program in Oriental Medicine to augment her natural skills as a healer.

Her NCCAOM board certification demonstrates a competence far beyond that required for New York State licensure.  As such she can offer herbal consultation, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, and tui-na massage, as well as acupuncture. Her warmth, intuition and natural gift for healing no doubt inspired her Zen teacher to endow her with the dharma name Ikai meaning ‘Ocean of Healing.’

Peggy warmly welcomes clients who are new to acupuncture and alternative healing, and will work with you and your physician to design a course of treatment that best meets your needs.
